Michael L.
Donahue has been involved in the fields of fire and criminal
investigation, hazardous materials emergency response and
occupational safety and health for 20 years. He has
held professional staff positions with public and private
sector organizations in these fields. Prior to joining
the Department of Justice, Mike was a Criminal Investigator/Special Agent with the U.S.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and a Police
Officer with the Rockville (Maryland) Police Department.
Mike holds a B.S. degree in Fire and Arson Investigation
from the University of Maryland, an A.A. Degree in Fire
Science and a Certificate in Fire and Arson
Investigation from Montgomery College in Rockville,
Maryland. He is an adjunct professor in the Fire
Science Program at Montgomery College where he teaches fire
and arson investigation. Mike is a nationally
Certified Hazardous Materials Technician and an
International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)
Certified Fire Investigator (CFI).
He has authored
more than 40 articles dealing with fire investigation,
safety and hazardous materials response issues. He is
the author of the book,
Safety and Health Guidelines for
Fire and Explosion Investigators published by Fire
Protection Publications - Oklahoma State University. |
